Used to think eucalyptus in arrangements was just trendy nonsense

I fought against putting eucalyptus in my bouquets for like 3 years. Thought it would just wilt and drop leaves everywhere. Finally tried it last winter after a friend gave me a bundle from her garden near Salem. The scent lasted almost 5 months and the leaves dried perfectly without crumbling. Anyone else had good luck with a specific drying method for it?
