Spent 3 hours chasing a drip in my head only to find a loose hose clamp I could have tightened in 30 seconds
I was ready to swear off boat life forever until my neighbor came over and pointed at the one clamp I'd missed under the sink, which made me feel like a total amateur but at least the leak is gone now, has anyone else had a fix that took way longer than it should have because you overthought the problem?

I mean, people act like a leaky hose clamp is some kind of life or death boat problem. It's a drip, not a hole in the hull. You probably would have found it eventually anyway, and now you'll never forget that spot under the sink. I've spent days chasing electrical gremlins that turned out to be a single bad fuse, but I didn't write a sad story about it, I just laughed and moved on. Overthinking is part of the game, but acting like it's a crisis is a little dramatic. Just tighten the clamp and get on with your day.
