Wasted $120 on a marine toilet seal kit that didn't fit
Ordered what the website said was a universal joker valve rebuild kit for my head. Got it in the mail, tore everything apart, and the rubber gasket was 2 inches too small. Ended up using electrical tape and a zip tie to hold it together until I could get the right part. Has anyone else been burned by those "fits all" marine parts online?

Did you try measuring the old one before ordering? That 'universal' stuff is almost always a lie, you gotta get the exact model for your brand.

lol my friend Sarah literally just went through this with her dishwasher. She measured the old filter and it looked like a standard square, so she bought a universal one and it was like half an inch too short on one side. Water just pooled at the bottom and started smelling after like three days. Had to wait another week for the exact part from the manufacturer.
