Guy told me my mud was too wet on a job last Tuesday
He showed me how a slightly stiffer mix actually fills the tape seams better and saves a coat. Anyone else find that wetter mud just makes more work in the long run?

Did that guy have a favorite brand for the stiffer stuff or just mix it different?

Nah, he just went super lean on the mix. Threw in like 15% more pigment than normal and barely any thinning agent.
