Had to finish a whole house in three days because the painter showed up early
The builder called me Tuesday morning saying the painter was coming Friday, so I had to tape and sand everything by myself. I went through two whole boxes of 220 grit paper just on the ceilings. Anyone else ever get a schedule change that messed up their whole week?

Just a couple long days" is my life's story at this point.

Started off thinking "yeah it's just a couple long days, no big deal" but after doing this one I totally changed my mind. I was crawling out of bed at 5am and still working by flashlight at 9pm trying to get all the corners right. My hands were cramping up so bad from sanding that I couldn't even grip my coffee cup the next morning. The painter showed up on time but I had to rush through the taping and ended up with a few spots that bled through. Now I tell people three days for a whole house prep is basically a marathon, not just a couple long days.

Sounds like a rough push but that's just part of the job sometimes. Three days for a whole house prep is tight but doable if you hustle. Not really a week-ruiner, just a couple long days.
