I finally stopped using a T-square for my cuts and switched to a drywall square with a fence

I used to fight with my T-square for years on big jobs in Fresno before I borrowed a buddy's 48-inch drywall square with a stop fence last month, and now I'm cutting sheets in half the time with way less waste - has anyone else made that switch and seen the same difference?

My 48 inch square with the fence paid for itself in two days on a warehouse job when the scrap pile went from a full dumpster to barely half.

wait wait wait... you're telling me that thing paid for itself in TWO DAYS? like 48 hours of work and it was already making money back? i gotta be honest i was looking at those square screens thinking they were overpriced for what they do but that math is actually insane. especially the dumpster going from full to barely half - that's not just saving on disposal fees, that's like reducing your entire waste stream by half in one job. how many square feet of screen area is that really giving you compared to a standard setup? does the fence keep stuff from rolling off or is it mainly about keeping the material contained while you sort?
