Just finished my 500th sheet of 5/8 firecode this month

I was adding up my invoices for the big apartment job in Tempe and the number stopped me cold. That's a full semi-truck load of board, all hung by our crew of three. My arms feel like lead weights and I've gone through two boxes of screws just for my own gun. It matters because five years ago I was lucky to hang fifty sheets in a good week. Never thought I'd see a number like that, let alone be the one putting it up. How do you guys keep your pace up when you hit a wall on these huge runs?

Two boxes of screws just for your own gun" got me. That's wild. When you're in that rhythm, do you switch up tasks to break the monotony? Like, do you cut for an hour after hanging for three, or just power through?

Used to think pushing through was the only way, but you're making me reconsider.

Wait, did I say two boxes? I meant two cases, which is way crazier. Honestly I just power through the hanging, but I'll switch to cutting if my shoulders start to burn. How do you handle the long runs without getting stuck?
