Just learned that a standard 4x8 sheet of drywall weighs about 57 pounds and I've been carrying them wrong for 10 years.
Saw it on a OSHA safety card at the supply house this morning and realized my back pain is because I've been lifting with my spine instead of my legs.

Switching to a two-person carry on anything over 8 feet made a huge difference for me. Used to hoist them solo and my lower back paid for it every time. Just grabbing a helper saved me a lot of pain.

My buddy tried that after his back went out on a job, swore it saved his whole week.
