Watched an old pro handle a crooked corner at a job site yesterday
I was helping a buddy with a basement remodel near Tacoma last week and this older guy shows up to do the drywall. He had this corner that was way out of square, like a good 3/4 inch gap at the top. Instead of fighting it with shims or extra mud, he just cut the board at a slight angle and worked it in with a 6 inch knife. Took him maybe 5 minutes total and it looked perfect after the tape went on. I've been doing this for about 2 years now and I would have spent an hour trying to float that out with compound. Has anyone else seen tricks like that for weird framing that just save you a ton of time?

The old guys always have those little time-savers that make you feel like you've been doing it wrong this whole time. Saw a similar thing with a guy who just shaved the back of the corner bead instead of messing with clips.
