Worst drywall week I've had in 10 years - mudding a whole house in July heat
Last week I took on a job out in Phoenix for a 3 bedroom new build. Thought it would be smooth sailing, but the heat was brutal. Mud was drying before I could even get it flat. Spent 6 hours on one ceiling alone sanding back hard spots. Then the homeowner kept walking through and asking if it was done yet. By Friday my hands were cramping up from the trowel. On the flip side, the dry weather made the tape stick perfect, no peeling at all. Has anyone else had a week where the conditions just screwed everything up?

Gotta be honest, sounds like a rough week but not exactly a disaster either. Mud drying too fast is on you for not using a little retarder or mixing your batches smaller in that heat. Homeowner asking questions is annoying but that's just part of the gig, happens every other job.
