A client in Mill Woods told me his offer was $500 over asking because he saw a squirrel in the yard.
He said it made the place feel 'lucky' and settled, which honestly, after 12 years selling houses here, is the most Edmonton reason I've ever heard for a bidding decision.

Remember a client who refused to even look at a place because the kitchen had a black fridge. She said it felt too final, like a coffin. People get stuck on the wildest details when they're trying to picture their life in a house.

That's actually a pretty solid reason to pick one house over another.

Wait, are you saying the main bathroom only has a shower stall? No tub at all? That would be a total dealbreaker for me, I need a place to soak after a long day. I can't imagine buying a house without a proper bathtub. That seems like such a weird thing to skip in a family home.
