Appreciation post: The seller who left their half finished renos for me to clean up

I showed up to a pressure wash gig out in St. Albert last Tuesday and the whole back deck was covered in leftover drywall dust and paint drips from the previous owners half baked flip job. Took me an extra 45 minutes to rinse it all off before I could even start, has anyone else dealt with a seller dumping their mess on a new buyer?

Read an article the other day about how flippers are basically tearing apart local housing markets. It said something like 1 in 6 houses bought in some areas are just flipper projects now, and they usually sit empty for months while the owner waits on permits. That matched up with what I've seen driving through different neighborhoods. The whole thing is just making it harder for regular families to find a decent place to live. I get wanting to make a buck, but not when it screws over everyone else trying to get a roof over their heads.
