Had to redo my entire kitchen backsplash after a grout disaster

Picked the wrong grout for my new tile last month. It cracked and crumbled within two weeks. Wasted $300 on materials and a whole weekend tearing it out. Has anyone else run into grout issues with Edmonton winters causing problems?

Did you seal the grout after it cured? I've heard that skipping sealer in cold climates lets moisture get in and wreck it fast.

Man, @jordan134 you might be right about that. I used to skip sealer in my garage tile and now I'm kicking myself seeing it crack every winter.
