I finally saw why some Edmonton houses sit on the market for months

I was checking out a bungalow in Westmount last weekend and noticed the front door opened right into the living room with no mudroom or entryway. In that neighborhood, families with kids are walking through with wet boots every winter. A realtor there told me that simple layout choice turns off at least half the buyers who tour the place. Have you seen other small design flaws that kill a sale around here?

Noticed the same thing in a house in Ritchie last month where they put the only bathroom off the master bedroom. Basically forces guests to walk through your bedroom to pee, lmao. That's a dealbreaker for most people I know.

@simonp40 nailed it. Flipping house trends are getting wild lately and that's one of the dumbest layouts I've seen. Guests have to tiptoe past your nightstand just to wash their hands. Whoever designed that must have never hosted a single party in their life. Makes you wonder if they even own a couch let alone have friends over.
