Finally switched to a toner tester for checking voltage drop

For about 15 years I always used my multimeter leads to poke around and check voltage drop on long runs. Then this old timer named Frank at a supply house in Cleveland showed me how a simple toner tester can trace a circuit and check voltage in one go. I tried it on a 200 foot run to a subpanel last Tuesday and found a bad splice in about 10 minutes instead of an hour. Has anyone else made the jump from just using a meter to a toner tool for troubleshooting? I am curious what brands you like.

Frank taught me that trick too, still use a toner on everything now lol.

I read somewhere that toner actually helps balance your skin's pH after washing which makes sense why Frank always swore by it. Ngl I used to skip it for years but now I grab the bottle every morning. Honestly it's one of those small steps that makes a big difference over time.
