Shoutout to the maintenance crew at the old theater in Pasadena
They ran all the new stage lighting conduit in the ceiling grid before the drop ceiling went up, saved a ton of fishing time. Anyone have a good trick for labeling that many homeruns in a cramped plenum space?

Remembered a job where the electrician labeled everything with colored zip ties instead of tags. Had a whole rainbow system, red for lights, blue for sound, green for emergency circuits. Got confusing fast when they ran out of purple for the stage outlets.

Grant's master list is a solid plan until someone takes that clipboard down and loses it. I've seen guys take a photo of the labeled home runs and tape a printed copy inside the main panel door. It's a backup that doesn't walk away.

Actually, that's not conduit in the ceiling grid, that's called strut. Conduit is the pipe itself. The strut rack is what holds it all up. For labeling, we used numbered tags on every home run and a master list on a clipboard hung from the grid.
