I just found out how many phones get fixed with just a new battery
I was reading a repair blog from a shop in Denver and they said over 40% of their phone repairs are just battery swaps. That blew my mind! I guess it makes sense with how much we use them, but I figured more would have screen or water damage. Has anyone else seen numbers like that at their own bench?

Makes sense since batteries wear out way faster than screens break.

Read somewhere that lithium ion batteries only last about 300-500 full cycles @robin_foster1.

Remember when phones had those little doors so you could swap batteries yourself? I miss that. Robin_foster1 is right about wear, but I bet the real number is even higher because people just live with a bad battery. My old phone would die at 30%, and I put up with it for months before getting it fixed. It's crazy what we get used to.
