I overheard a customer call their old TV 'disposable' and it got me thinking
They were on the phone in my shop yesterday, saying they'd just buy a new one because fixing their 2018 Samsung was 'pointless'. It made me realize how much the 'just replace it' mindset has taken over, even for stuff that's only a few years old. Do you guys find you're having more conversations like this with clients now?

Oh totally, I see this all the time. I had a guy last month with a 2020 model that just needed a new power board, maybe a hundred bucks in parts and labor. He was ready to just drop it at the curb and finance a new one. I sat him down and showed him the board, explained it's a single common part that fails, not the whole TV dying. He went for the fix and was shocked at how simple it was. People just don't know what's actually wrong, they hear a click or see no picture and assume the whole thing is junk.

Wait, he was gonna finance a TV over a hundred dollar fix? @elizabetht56
