Just realized I was overthinking a simple power supply fix

I was talking to my neighbor, a retired radio guy, about a stubborn 24V adapter I couldn't get working. He just said, 'Did you check the fuse inside the plug? They hide them in there sometimes.' I'd spent two hours checking the board, but sure enough, there was a tiny glass fuse in the DC plug end. Popped in a new 2A fuse and it fired right up. How many other simple things do we miss by going straight for the complex stuff?
