Spent 45 minutes scratching my head over a dead TV before I realized the power strip was switched off
I was pulling my hair out checking fuses and boards on this 55-inch LG when my buddy walked over and flipped the switch on the strip, has anyone else had a dumb moment like that make you feel like a total rookie?

45 minutes on a dead TV and it was just a power strip switch. I get being annoyed for a minute but calling it a "dumb moment that makes you feel like a total rookie" is a bit much. Happens to everyone sometimes, you laugh it off and move on. Not like you took the whole thing apart or anything.

Used to be one of those people who thought they were too experienced for basic mistakes like that. Then last month I spent a solid hour trying to figure out why my garage light wouldn't come on, even checked the breaker box. Turned out I had accidentally bumped the switch on the pull chain when I was moving a box, so the light was fine but the switch was off. Made me realize everyone has those moments where you skip the simplest thing and go straight to the hard stuff. What was your first thought when you finally spotted that switch?
