That guy who asked me to fix his toaster by putting it in the oven

Last month in Denver, a customer brought in a toaster that kept tripping his breaker and insisted I could "bake the short out" at 350 degrees. I spent 20 minutes explaining that heat would melt the plastic housing and fry the wires worse, not fix them. Has anyone else gotten a repair request that was based on complete nonsense logic?
