Watched a guy at a flea market fix a Game Boy with a paperclip
I was at the Canton flea market in Ohio last month, looking for old consoles to practice on. This vendor had a broken Game Boy with no sound, and he just bent a paperclip to bridge a test point on the board. It worked. I'd always told myself you need the right tools for every job, but that showed me sometimes a quick, free fix is fine for a quick test. What's the simplest tool you've used to get a device running?

Nah, that's a terrible idea and just asking to fry the board later.

Totally agree with Jordan. Seen it happen before where people cut corners and the whole thing just dies a week later. Not worth the risk at all.
