Found a trick for cleaning guide rails with a shop vac and a paint roller

Spent 3 hours on a job last week scrubbing rails by hand until I rigged a paint roller with a microfiber cover and taped it to the shop vac hose. Cut the cleaning time down to 45 minutes for the same shaft. Anyone else got a hack for rail maintenance?

Honestly that's genius. Tried the same thing last month with a duct tape setup and it worked way better than I expected. Ngl this might be the best rail hack I've seen in a while.

Man that's a solid hack, it's funny how half the battle with any maintenance job is just figuring out the right tool for it instead of brute forcing it. Kinda makes me think about how most problems at home or work are like that, you just gotta find the one little tweak that makes everything click.
