I finally switched from synthetic to mineral oil on my old Otis and it runs quieter now

Honestly I always thought synthetic was better but this makes me want to try mineral oil.

Read a forum post once where a guy tested both on the same motor. Mineral oil had less vibration at idle. Guess it just depends on the age of the equipment.
