Rant: Rail oil comparison on a KONE MonoSpace blew my mind
I've been using the standard Schindler rail oil for years, just because it's what we always had. Last month I swapped to a synthetic blend on a KONE MonoSpace in a 12 story building downtown. The difference in noise and wear after 3 months is night and day, the synthetic just stays put way better. Has anyone else made the switch and seen similar results?

You run it on a 1:1 or a 2:1? Found the synthetic really helps with the rope grab on the higher speed 1:1 setups.

Have you tried flipping the rope grab 180 degrees on your 2:1? The synthetic's texture grabs better one direction versus the other depending on which way the lines are running, I found out by accident swapping setups last month. It made a huge difference on my high speed pulls, almost like the teeth align with the weave. Just a cheap trick that might save you swapping out hardware.
