Figured out why my enzyme peels kept going inactive after 3 months

I kept having these enzyme peels lose their fizz way before the expiration date. Took me almost a year to realize I was storing them in the cabinet above my hot water heater. The constant heat was killing the enzymes dead. Switched to the fridge and now my pumpkin enzyme from last spring still bubbles like crazy. Has anyone else had enzyme products go flat for no obvious reason?

My buddy kept her vitamin C serum in her bathroom cabinet and wondered why it turned dark brown in a month. Turns out the humidity from her shower was cooking it slowly. Moved it to her bedroom drawer and the next bottle lasted fine.

Oh totally, my vitamin C went orange in two weeks from bathroom heat (so frustrating).
