Had a client break down crying after I finished her facial last month

She said it was the first time in 6 months she felt like she looked like herself again after dealing with bad cystic breakouts. Has anyone else had a moment where a client's reaction really made you stop and think about why you do this work?

My third week on the job I had a teenage girl with acne scars tell me she finally felt comfortable taking her school photos without filters and yeah, that one got me right in the gut. It really makes you remember this is about way more than just skin.

Doesn't that just hit you right where you live? I know exactly what you mean about remembering it's more than skin deep. That must have felt incredible to hear, knowing you helped her feel that way about herself. It's those little moments that remind you why you got into the job in the first place. Good for you for being there for her.
