I just hit 500 clients who said 'no' to extractions during a facial

I know a lot of estheticians swear by extractions and think they're a must for a deep clean, but I've been tracking my own numbers for the last three years. After my 500th client this week in my Portland shop told me they'd rather skip that step, it really made me think. I offer it, but I always ask first, and I'm shocked how many people, even with congestion, just don't want the pressure or the redness. For some, it's a sensory thing, for others it's past bad experiences. I've found that a really good enzyme mask and a thorough double cleanse with my Clarisonic gets similar results for them without the discomfort. They keep coming back because they feel listened to, not pressured. Am I the only one who finds that pushing the 'standard' extraction protocol can sometimes push clients away?

It's actually just my garage workshop, not a proper shop with a storefront. I work on projects by appointment only. The address wouldn't be much help for a casual visit. You can message me directly if you want to talk about a specific repair or custom job.
