Hot take: My 4-year-old Wacom tablet finally gave up the ghost last night right as I was finishing the coastlines for a new map.
After trying to fix it for about an hour (mostly just unplugging and replugging things, you know how it is), I had to finish the last bit with my mouse, which felt like drawing with a brick, so has anyone found a good, cheap drawing tablet that actually lasts more than a couple years?

Oh man, that's the worst timing! My old Huion tablet lasted forever on a budget. Still works, just got an upgrade itch.

Actually, cheap tablets break fast, you get what you pay for.

Ha, "you get what you pay for" - I hear that all the time, but my old Huion tablet was like $80 and it's still kicking after like 6 years. I think sometimes that saying is just people trying to justify spending way too much on gear. My buddy bought a $40 tablet from Amazon and it died in three months, but then another friend got a random brand one for $50 and it's been fine for years. Seems like quality control is all over the place with tablets, you never know if you'll get a good unit or a dud. What brand was the one that broke on you?
