Picked hand-drawn over digital for my first campaign map and it took 12 hours but felt way more mine

I was going back and forth between using Wonderdraft or just sketching it on paper with micron pens, and after finishing the coastlines and rivers by hand I realized the wobbly lines actually made the world feel lived in, has anyone else regretted going full digital too fast?

Oh man, I don't know if it's really that serious. Like yeah hand drawn has a certain charm but twelve hours is a whole work day for a map you might redraw in a few months when you realize the scale is off. Digital lets you just undo and tweak stuff. I still think there's something to be said for just getting the game started instead of stressing over how authentic your coastlines look. But hey if it made you happy then power to you, I guess.

Woah wait you did actual hand drawn coastlines with micron pens? That's insane. I mean I get the appeal but 12 hours just for the base geography? I would have thrown my notebook across the room by hour three. The wobbly lines thing makes total sense though, like the world has actual texture from someone's hand instead of that sterile vector look. Did you do mountains and forests by hand too or just the big stuff?
