Shoutout to the guy at the library who still draws with a dip pen
I was looking at old fantasy books in the local library (you know, the ones with the fold-out maps) and this older guy next to me was copying one with a real dip pen and ink. He said he's been doing it that way for 40 years because 'the wobble makes the coastlines look alive.' I've only ever used my tablet, so watching him work was pretty wild. Has anyone else tried the old tools, or is it all digital for you now?

Forty years with the same pen?

Got my grandpa's old Sheaffer from the 70s. Thing's a tank. I mean, they just built stuff to last back then. My new pens feel cheap and break in a year. Maybe it's just me but they don't make them like that anymore.

My dad's Parker Jotter from 1982 still writes like new. I've had the same cheap Bic Cristal in my toolbox for eight years, just keeps going.
