Showerthought: My map for a client's pirate novel got shredded by their cat last Friday.
Spent 40 hours on a huge ink piece, and the cat knocked my coffee over it. Debating if I should redo it traditionally or just scan the salvageable bits and finish in Procreate. Anyone had a project wrecked right before a deadline?

Oh man, that's brutal! I read a blog post once from an artist who spilled tea on a watercolor piece. They scanned what was left, printed it on nice paper, and then painted over the print to fix it. Maybe you could do something like that with the good bits?

Saw a video from a restoration artist who used a hairdryer on low to dry out coffee stained paper after it spilled on her botanical drawing. She then lightly sanded the stained edges with fine grit sandpaper to blend it into the drawing. Might be worth trying on the ruined parts before you give up on the whole piece.
