Cleaned out the truck and found my 100th pair of work gloves
Honestly, I never kept count before, but seeing them all in a pile made me think about how many miles of fence they've helped put up. It's not just the gloves, it's the calluses and the small cuts on every finger that tell the real story. Anyone else got a weird collection of worn-out gear that marks the time?

My boot pile tells the same story.

Look at the wear pattern on the soles. Mine are always worn down on the outside edge first, which my physical therapist says is from weak hips. The boots tell a story about your body, not just your hobbies.

My buddy had this exact thing happen with his hiking boots. He kept blowing out the left side of the sole every few months. Finally went to a podiatrist on a whim, and they spotted his flat feet right away. The guy had been walking on his arches for years without knowing. Now he wears these special insoles and his boots last way longer. Kind of wild how much your shoes can give away.
