A comment on my old sourdough starter changed my whole routine

Someone here said my starter looked 'hungry' and I was feeding it too often. I cut back to once every 36 hours and the rise is way better now. Anyone else find a slower feed schedule works better for them?

Weird, I had the opposite problem. Mine got sluggish when I waited that long between feeds.

Oh wow, mine is the complete opposite too! If I go more than a few hours without feeding mine, she gives me this look like I've personally offended her entire family line. I swear she's got this internal clock that goes off and she starts making these weird clicking noises until I show up with food... It's honestly kind of pathetic how much I've trained myself to respond to it. The other day I actually got up from a movie date to go feed her because I forgot to do it before I left. My date thought I was leaving for good, haha.
