Question about a roll I shot at the county fair last Saturday
I accidentally left my camera on the 'bulb' setting for half the roll, so all my daytime shots are completely overexposed. Anyone know a good way to remember to check that before you start shooting?

Wait, half the roll on bulb? That's a new one. I usually just get one or two frames wrecked. Do you keep the lens cap on when you're not shooting? I got in the habit of putting mine back on after every shot for a second, just to force a check on the viewfinder.

Oh man, that's the worst feeling. Did something similar last month with a roll of Portra. My shutter got stuck open for a whole walk around the park. Now I always do a quick shutter sound check before I load a new roll, just to hear it click.

Ugh, that shutter check is smart, but honestly @the_hugo, a stuck shutter on bulb is a different beast. The mirror would be up the whole time, so your viewfinder would be black. That's the real tell. Zara's lens cap trick is good for catching a regular slow shutter, but bulb lock is a whole other panic. I learned that the hard way with a sticky cable release on an old SLR.
