Rant: I thought metering with my phone app was a total waste of time
After three ruined rolls of Portra 400, I finally tried the Light Meter app on a cloudy day in the park and my exposures have been PERFECT ever since, so has anyone found a better free app than that one?

Three rolls seems like a lot to ruin before trying it.

Honestly, Jessica had 9 minutes left on her timer when she burned the third one. I think people forget that you can reset the timer if you pull it early, you don't have to just let it sit there and overcook. My first batch I messed up two rolls before I realized I was reading the time wrong for the brand I bought. It's a learning curve for sure but three is just unlucky timing, not a sign it's impossible.
