Spent an hour at the darkroom and my roll came out completely blank because I loaded it wrong
Was trying to load my Pentax K1000 (which I got from a thrift store for $15) and guess I didn't wind the leader tight enough, so the film never advanced past frame zero, has anyone else had that gut punch of pulling a blank roll from the tank?

Is it really that big of a deal though? I mean, it's bumming that you lost a roll, but you're talking about a $15 thrift store camera and some cheap film. You probably only lost a few bucks in total. Just load it up again, make sure the rewind knob turns this time, and try again. It's not like you ruined a wedding roll or something.

Can't believe you're calling that Kodak Gold "cheap film" when it's pushing $12 a roll now if you're lucky enough to find it in stock. That's not loose change, that's almost the cost of the CAMERA itself. And a $15 thrift store camera? Good luck finding a working Canon Sure Shot for that price these days, most are going for $40 plus shipping.
