I finally chose glue over nails for my wobbly chair repair

My dining chair leg was loose and I had to pick between wood glue and finishing nails. I went with Titebond III and clamped it overnight for 12 hours. Has anyone else had that glue joint fail on them later down the road?

Wait, you used Titebond III for a dining chair? For real? That stuff is tough as nails once it dries. I've used it on all sorts of stuff around my house. It holds up way better than you'd think for wood projects. Clamping it for a full 12 hours is key. Most people rush that part and that's where stuff goes wrong. Honestly I bet that joint lasts longer than the rest of the chair. Titebond III is pretty much waterproof once cured.

I actually learned that the hard way with a rocking chair... clamped it for maybe 4 hours and thought I was good. Next time my mom sat in it I heard this loud crack and she was on the floor.
