Had the worst Monday of my life installing engineered hardwood in Nashville

I was dead set against using glue assist on a click lock floor. Thought it was a waste of money and time. Then I spent 8 hours on a single room fighting gaps that kept popping open near the sliding door. My boss walked over, handed me a bottle of glue, and showed me how just a dab on the tongue fixed everything. Has anyone else had that moment where you realize a product you hated actually saves the whole job?

Reed.eva, I hear you but that glue just creates a nightmare when you ever have to pull a plank up.

Took me three separate jobs before I finally caved on glue assist. Kept thinking it was just a gimmick the manufacturers push to sell more product. But that first time I did a big room with a sunken living room step, the glue was the only thing keeping those boards from creeping apart under the weight of furniture. Now I tell all my guys to treat it like insurance you only need when you don't have it.
