Spent $300 on a fancy flower cooler that died in 8 months

I bought a new display cooler for my shop last fall, thinking it would help keep arrangements fresh longer. It was a big brand model that cost me over three hundred bucks, and it worked great until about June. Then the compressor just quit, and the repair guy said fixing it would cost almost as much as a new one. I feel like I threw that money straight in the trash because I trusted a shiny ad instead of asking other florists first. What brands have you guys used that actually last more than a year?

Some commercial brands are built to last, in my experience with True and Beverage-Air units.

Tell me about it lol. My last fridge died like clockwork.

Ugh, that's rough but honestly not that shocking. I mean, most appliances these days are built to break right after the warranty ends. My home fridge did the same thing. Maybe it's just me but I've stopped expecting anything to last more than a few years, even the expensive stuff. You just got unlucky with the timing.
