Just realized my brother's 2WD F-150 is more useful than my 4x4
He pointed out that in our flat city, he's saved thousands on gas and maintenance over five years, while I've only used my 4WD twice. Are we over-spec'ing our trucks for daily life?

@xenar14 I mean it tracks, people buy stuff for the two times they might need it, not for every day.

Yeah that reminds me of my uncle who bought this huge truck for "hunting trips" that never happened. He used the 4WD once to pull a neighbor's car out of a ditch after an ice storm, and another time just to show me how it worked in an empty field. Felt like a total waste of money. Makes me wonder what the two magic moments were for @xenar14, probably something super specific like a washed out road or deep snow.
