My best week with the truck started with a busted alternator

Honestly, last Tuesday my '97 F-150's alternator died in the Walmart parking lot in Springfield. I called my buddy Jim, who brought his tools and we swapped it right there in the lot, which took about 2 hours. The next day, I used the truck to help three different neighbors move some big stuff, like a fridge and a couch. By Friday, a guy at the gas station even offered to buy it on the spot for $3500. Has anyone else had a rough start turn into a week that just made you love your old truck even more?

Wait, that guy offered to buy it for 35 hundred right there at the gas station? That's insane. I had a guy once ask if my truck was for sale at a stoplight, but he was offering about 8 hundred bucks and a broken ATV. A real cash offer like that after a week of helping folks move furniture, that's wild. Your truck must be in way better shape than mine. That kind of luck makes the alternator swap worth it.

So your best week started with a broken truck in a Walmart lot. That's the kind of luck where you fix one thing and suddenly the universe owes you a favor. Only an old truck could turn a two hour parking lot repair into a week of feeling like a hero and a savvy businessman. It's like the truck knew it embarrassed you and spent the rest of the week trying to make it up to you. That cash offer at the pump is the perfect weird reward for putting up with its nonsense.
