Serious question, does anyone remember the PS2 game 'Whiplash'?
I saw a post calling it a hidden gem, but I was sure it was just a bad game... my friend lent me his copy last month and I had to eat my words. Playing as a weasel chained to a rabbit, breaking stuff in a lab, was way more fun than I expected. The humor actually landed for me, which I didn't see coming. What other forgotten games got a bad rap that they didn't deserve?

Yeah that Silent Bomber comparison is interesting, but I gotta disagree. Whiplash was fun for a weekend but the joke wore thin fast. The level design felt repetitive and the controls were kinda janky. It's a novelty, not a hidden gem.

I read a game magazine review back in the day that gave Whiplash a really low score, like a 4 out of 10. It totally wrote it off as a dumb gimmick game. But that weird story and the chaos of breaking everything is exactly what makes it fun. It reminds me of the PS1 game "Silent Bomber," which got overlooked because it came out so late in the console's life. That game had a killer hook with its timed bombs and was super fast, but nobody talks about it now.
