Wait, you said Five admitted he messed up the timeline in that van? I just rewatched that fight and I'm pretty sure he was still blaming everyone else. He didn't fess up until way later in the season.

The whole thing with the Handler's monocle breaking was a big deal. Maybe seeing that physical proof his actions had real, permanent damage finally got through to him.
