Update: I finally watched that show everyone told me to and it wrecked me
Honestly, I binged The Bear over the weekend after my sister wouldn't stop talking about it. Tbh, I was just expecting a cooking show, but the way the whole kitchen crew slowly becomes this messy, screaming, supportive family got me right in the chest. There's this scene in season 2 where Richie is just sitting in his car after a terrible day and they all show up for him, no questions asked. Ngl, I cried. Has a show ever made you feel that kind of ache for a found family you never had?
What was the show that hit you that hard? I get it, The Bear does that to people. When a show makes you feel that lonely ache, try rewatching your favorite scenes a few times. It sounds weird, but it helps take the edge off that empty feeling by making the moments more familiar.
Yeah that scene with Richie in the car is brutal, it got me too lol. I totally get that ache, it's like you want to crawl into the tv. What @price.jake said about rewatching scenes is spot on, I do that all the time. It makes the good moments feel more real and less like something you missed out on.
