Found a VHS labeled 'Lake Trip 98' with something that wasn't a lake trip

I picked up a box of old tapes from a garage sale in Portland last month for five bucks. One was just marked in black marker. When I finally got it to play, the first ten minutes were normal family stuff at a lake. Then it cuts to a completely different scene, a shaky shot of a dark, empty warehouse at night with a single light swinging. The audio is just wind and a faint, weird clicking sound. It goes on for like twenty minutes before cutting back to the lake like nothing happened. I've digitized a lot of weird home movies, but this felt intentional, like someone taped over part of a vacation with something else. Has anyone else found a tape where the label totally lies about what's on it?

Sounds like someone's weird art project got mixed in.

Creepy. Straight up creepy. What did you do with the tape after? That sounds like the kind of thing you'd find in a horror movie setup. The part that gets me is the clicking sound, that's always a bad sign in weird footage. Maybe someone was using old home tapes as blanks to record something they shouldn't have. You should check if the warehouse spot is a real place near you.
