Unpopular opinion: The weirdest tape I ever bought was a 1992 church bake sale video from a bin in Toledo.
It's just 45 minutes of people arguing over pie prices, but the guy filming keeps zooming in on a cat stealing a muffin. Anyone else find something totally normal that's made hilarious by the camera work?

My friend Dave bought a VHS of a 1993 town hall meeting about sewer line repairs. The camera guy was clearly bored and kept doing these slow, dramatic zooms on a man in the front row who was just silently eating a bag of chips for the full hour. It turned a totally dry meeting into this weird, tense snack-based drama.

That's the best kind of found art. So much of modern life is just people adding their own weird drama to boring tasks to stay sane. You see it everywhere, from bored baristas to security guards doing little dances on camera. It's like we're all just trying to make our own movies out of the mundane stuff we have to sit through.
