Appreciation post: I just mixed my 50th ink sample and it's all purple now

I was trying to get a perfect stormy grey and kept adding drops of this violet shimmer I had leftover. Ended up with a whole drawer of slightly different purples, 50 little vials to be exact. Anyone else accidentally create a whole color family from one failed experiment?

Wow, I used to hate purple but this changes everything.

My friend Sarah had the same thing happen with olive green, @james661. She saw it on a vintage car and now it's her whole color scheme. Funny how one good look can flip a switch, right?

My buddy Mark did that with a weird orange once. He was trying to match some rust on an old bike frame and just kept missing it. His garage shelf is now a gradient of like thirty different burnt oranges and ambers.
