Bought a cheap magnetic stirrer and it's a total game changer
I was getting tired of shaking ink vials for ten minutes and still having tiny clumps. Saw a lab stirrer on a hobby site for about $35 and figured why not. Plugged it in, dropped a little stir bar in a sample vial, and had a perfectly mixed custom purple in under a minute. Has anyone found a good way to clean the stir bars without losing them down the drain?

Cleaning the bars is a pain. I keep a small magnet in a plastic bag and use it to pull the bar up the side of the jar. Then I wipe it with a paper towel before grabbing it. For really stubborn ink, a quick rinse in a cup of water with a drop of dish soap works. Just never do it over an open drain.

Love that magnet trick, I use an old fridge magnet for the same messy job.
