I think everyone's wrong about needing to filter ink mixes

Honestly, I've been mixing inks in my garage in Tacoma for about three years now without ever using a filter. Last week I made a batch of a deep plum color from a Noodler's base and some shimmer powder, just gave it a good shake and let it sit for a day. It writes perfectly smooth in my TWSBI and I've had zero clogs. Has anyone else just skipped the filtering step and been totally fine?

Filters just add a step that isn't always needed. My mixes work fine after a good shake and some settling time. People stress about it way too much.

My old roommate used to just shake her juice bottles for like 30 seconds and call it good. Honestly, it drove me nuts because the pulp would always settle into this weird layer. Claire_fisher41, you're stronger than me, I could never get used to that texture.
